The 2007 Thurso Gala Week ran from Saturday 4th August until Sunday 12th August.

Once again we opened with the very popular Continental Market who stayed over the first weekend, bringing a air of excitement, colour and new flavours and smells to the town.

As usual we ran an extensive programme of well-attended events.

Our Gala Queen, Jodie Stewart, and attendants, Lyndsey Malcolm and Donna Douglas (shown left), were resplendent in their outfits, while the procession including Pipe Band, superb floats and some wonderfully dressed collectors paraded raucously around the streets.

As well as established favourites such as the Car Treasure Hunt, Whist Drive, Teddy Bear's Picnic, Fashion Show, Bingo, Coffee Morning, Ceilidh & Quiz events, we bought the popular 3k & 10k Run/Walk and 'The Big Gig' music festival. You never know we may end up with our very own 'Rockness' in the future!

Again the feedback has been generally positive and any constructive comments have hopefully been taken into consideration for future gala weeks.
