Windfarm Developers' Environmental Statements frequently understate visual impact whilst still being technically correct. This is done through small-scale images, poor photographic quality, hazy turbine images, perverse viewpoint selection, local screening and the like.

SYV can provide large-scale photomontages as a
direct comparison to Developer's images or from more
representative or informative alternative locations.

This picture shows how large-scale images can be related to the existing landscape. Images of this scale conform to Good Practice Guidance for Public Exhibition.

It is SYV's policy never to sensationalise images, indeed images are generally slightly understated.

Images of turbines or pylons are shown in the right position at the correct size.

Extract from the forgoing image where the Dunbeath and Buolfruich windfarms overlap in this view.

Although colours are shown reasonably faithfully, the same turbine can appear anything from jet black to brilliant white and in myriad hues, and this can vary in the space of minutes.
Turbines can even appear almost invisible on occasion. The first three photographs below were taken within two minutes of each other. The fourth was shot seven minutes later.
