Situated in the North of Scotland the Thurso Branch is the Royal British Legion Scotland's most northerly branch on the UK mainland. Offering a wide range of activites and facilities the Thurso Legion is available to both members, guests, visitors and local community groups alike, the club is currently trying to encourage new members from the age of 18 and upwards. The club is located on Riverside Road, looking on to the Thurso river, just off the main road bridge. |

The club's facilities include a large lounge (right) which hosts regular well attended family entertainment at weekends. Adjoining the lounge there is a games room which has two full sized Snooker tables and a Darts room Next to the lounge is the 'Peedie Bar' (below) which is an old fashioned workers bar where you can pop in for a quick pint watch the television, play our "Bandits" or just enjoy the local 'crack'. |

Other facilities within the club include a large hall which can accommodate functions up to 250 people, and is regularly packed for the 'Northern Nashville Music Country Club' on the last Friday of each month, with bands coming from all over the UK, Ireland and abroad. Other regular dances are held throughout the year and the hall is available for bookings for all types of function. |

Food is served throughout the weekend by Lorna's Kitchen Catering company who are also the main provider of catering for all functions held in the club including weddings, birthdays, and other occasions. The hall or lounge can be booked for use for your event or occasion by contacting the club by phone, e-mail or by popping into discuss the booking with the bar staff or committee members anytime during bar opening hours. Disabled facilities exist within the club and any special needs or circumstances can usually be dealt with. |

Various
Sports and activity groups exist within the club including, amongst
others, Sea Angling, Darts, Snooker and Indoor Bowling. Memberships
are available and application forms can be either collected at the club
